Blatant Media was founded on the realization that many organizations were adapting their business processes to academically oriented Learning Management Systems. Blatant Media co-founder Mike Eggermont has a background in multimedia development and holds a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from the University of British Columbia. He studied under Tony Bates, a founder of the British Open University and a pioneer of 30 years of distance education.

Mike Owens entered the e-Learning field in 1996 as a military consultant on a ground breaking multimedia CBT program for infantry. Owens is known to sometimes uncontrollably shout "Drop and give me 50". It's best that you cooperate.

The combination of years of experience in the e-Learning industry with formal education in educational principles, training strategies and curriculum design means that Blatant Media is not just a software or development company.
